Info to Parents: Drop-Off Zones within KRC during Rainy Days

Dear Parents/Gaurdians,

The school will open our covered car park to facilitate the traffic flow of morning arrivals at KRC during rainy days. This is an additional drop-off zone other than the 2 zones located at the covered link walk and at the Meeting Point.

Please see the attached plan on the 3 drop-off zones within KRC during rainy days.

We would like to highlight the control of traffic flow during rainy days as following:

a. Vehicles entering Gate A will first be directed to the Meeting Point for drop-off.

b. When the car queue at the Meeting Point has reached the zebra crossing, vehicles will then be directed into the covered car park for drop-off.

c. When the queue of vehicles inside the covered car park has extended out onto the driveway, parents could then drop-off their child along the covered link walk.

d. Vehicles which have already done the drop-off at the covered link walk are requested to switch on their right signal light, so that our staff on duty at the car park entrance will direct you to exit the school.

We will deploy more staff on duty to assist your child alighting at the 3 drop-off zones.  We seek your co-operation and follow the instruction of our staff when they direct you to either one of the zones to drop-off your child.

Thank you for your continued support and partnership to make NYPS a safe environment for our children.

Pick-Up Procedure at Dismissal for Normal School Time, After School Enrichment Programme (ASEP) and Student Care Centre (SCC)

Dear Parents,

Pick-Up Procedure at Dismissal for Normal School Time, After School Enrichment Programme (ASEP) and Student Care Centre (SCC)

To enhance the safety and security of the school, the school has implemented several measures for the gate control and movement of vehicles along the driveway at KRC. We apologise for any inconveniences caused and hope that you will support us to ensure that the school premises will be safe and secured for all our pupils.

The following measures will be implemented with immediate effect:

a.     On-Foot Pick-Up

1)     Normal School Time Dismissal: Side Gate B will be opened at 1.20pm for parents/guardians to walk into the school to pick-up their child at the Meeting Point. Please note that pick-up is only allowed at the Meeting Point. Parents/guardians are not allowed to pick-up their child from any other premises in our school. This gate will be closed at 2.15pm for security reasons.

2)      ASEP Dismissal:  Side Gate B will be opened at 3.15pm for the ASEP dismissal, including CCA. This gate will be closed at 4.45pm for security reasons.

Note: Please be reminded to use Side Gate B for entrance and exit on foot.

b.     Vehicular Pick-Up

1)    Normal School Time Dismissal:  Main Gate A and B will be opened at 1.50pm for parents/guardians to drive into the school to pick-up their child at the Meeting Point on a "pick-and-go" basis. Your vehicle must enter by Gate A and exit by Gate B. Both Gate A and Gate B will be closed at 2.15pm.

2)    ASEP and SCC Dismissal:   Main Gate A and Main Gate B will be opened at 4.15pm for parents/guardians to drive into the school to pick-up their child at the Meeting Point on a "pick-and-go" basis. Your vehicle must enter by Gate A and exit by Gate B. Gate B will be closed at 4.45pm.

3)    Pick-Up after 4.45pm.   After 4.45pm, you may still drive into our school to pick-up your child. However, please be reminded of the following:

a)    You are advised to practise a "pick-and-go" basis as there are limited parking facilities.

b)    For parents/guardians who are picking up their child from the SCC, you may park your car in the Staff Car Park or at the parking lots beside the canteen.

c)    Please note that parking along the main driveway facing the track and field will not be allowed as our driveway is narrow and we have seen several near misses of vehicle collision.

d)    Vehicle must enter by Gate A and make a U-turn before Gate B and then exit at Gate A.

e)    Please note that all our school gates will be closed at 6pm.

f)     For pick-up of SCC pupils after 6pm, please liaise with the SCC Person-In-Charge.

If you miss the gate opening timings, please arrange with your children to do pick-up outside Gate A. However, please take note not to wait outside Gate A, along King's Road.

The following table summarises the opening/closing time for pick-up on foot and by vehicle:
