Gentle Reminder: President ‘s Award for Teachers (PAT) 2016
Dear Parents,
If you would like to nominate any deserving NY teacher for the President's Award, you can do the following :
1. Collect a nomination form from the KRC General Office and drop the completed nomination form into a designated letter box labelled " PAT 2016" by 25 Feb 2016 so that the school can send out the nomination form to Academy of Singapore Teachers by 26 Feb 2016.
2. Nominate online or download the nomination form at the following link: http://www.academyofsingaporeteachers.moe.gov.sg/professional-excellence/professional-recognition/president-s-award-for-teachers
Please submit your online nomination by 26 Feb 2016.

Total Defence Day on 15 Feb 2016
Dear Parents,
The school will be commemorating Total Defence Day on 15 February 2016, an annual event which marks the surrender of Singapore to the Japanese during World War 2.
The NE committee has planned various activities for your child to learn more about the significance of Total Defence. As part of the activities, the school would also be carrying out an emergency preparedness drill on 15 Feb 2016 to increase awareness and to improve capabilities to respond to real events. Briefing sessions would be conducted to ensure that all pupils know what to do during the drill.

Nanyang Girls High Violin Concert
In celebration of Nanyang Family of Schools 99th Anniversary, Nanyang Grirls High is proud to launch In Good Company, a fund raising concert featuring renowned violinist and an alumna of Nanyang Primary School, Miss Tang Tee Khoon. Besides Ms Tang, the concert also includes specially invited international musicians and Nanyang Primary School (NYPS) String Ensemble.
Tickets are priced at $100 with proceeds going towards the NYGH Building Fund. It is hopeful that the pupils from the 3 schools (NYGH, NYPS and NYK) get to benefit from the facilities after the new building is up.
Parents and students are also welcomed to make a donation. Both tickets and donations may be processed through this e-portal http://violin-concert.myshopify.com/collections/all or via the QR code available on the e-poster.
